PAPER HUMAN by Stephen Connolly
Two near-identical stories play out on stage simultaneously. Two female civil servants - one in Holland in 1941, the other in France in 1943 - break into Government offices intending to destroy its contents, the millions of IBM punch cards bearing demographic details of their fellow citizens being used to identify Jews on racial grounds on behalf of the SS. But their bosses are working late and a stand off develops. Can they persuade their bosses that their processing is wrong and must be stopped?
